I just saw that my GRE score results in a 87 percentile in both math and verbal. Is that good? Is that good enough?
I was extremely excited before I saw my percentile. Should I still be?
I guess I can give my score out, it’s not that big a deal. I got 620 in verbal and 770 in math out of 800. So, total of 1390 on 1600.
So?
PS: I am imagining Jenn’s and Rachel’s faces if they read this post. They are going to think I’m nuts.

From what I have heard, that sounds pretty good! I know that most science programs don’t really look too closely at the verbal score…which is good for me since there is an obvious reason why I chose the sciences. Do you have to take a subject GRE? I have to take the Chemistry, which I heard is a doozey. And, I don’t think your crazy for worrying about it. I would be doing the EXACT same thing

Goo, it just erased my first comment! So I think that those scores sound pretty good! But I suppose it all depends where you are applying. I know that most science programs don’t look too closely at the verbal scores…for obvious reasons. And the prof I worked for as an undergrad told me that great lab experience and good recommendation speaks wonders over a stupid GRE score. Do you have to take a subject GRE?
